Meet The WestCMR Team: Zach Perez

As our Founder and CEO, Randy Ware likes to say, “people do business with people, not companies.” At WestCMR, we put a strong emphasis on our team through our competitive compensation and unparalleled benefits, but also events scheduled by our Employee Experience committee. In hopes you’ll get to know them as well as we do, we have put together this brand new series of short spotlight blogs.

Introducing our monthly WestCMR employee spotlight featuring another outstanding team member. Zach Perez is a part of our GeoSurgical team. While he loves his job, his path to get here wasn’t like the others. He went to college at FSU and got a degree in Exercise Physiology, with plans of being a Physician’s Assistant. After working at local clinics, he realized he wanted to pivot, but not completely away from the medical world. Zach had a few friends working at WestCMR, and he figured he would give sales a shot. Almost a year later, Zach has impressed everyone on his team and only wants to continue increasing his territory and growing his brand!

Every day for Zach is different, but checking on his clients in a high priority. As soon as he walks in the office, he gets on WhatsApp or WeChat and makes sure they are taken care of. Other than that, he splits his time between taking orders and prospecting on LinkedIn. Even though his friends were the first reason he decided to work at WestCMR, he has now found a true love for what he does. “I love our client offerings and the eco-friendly approach that reduces medical waste while delivering cost savings,” says Zach.

His most memorable moment at WestCMR has been volunteering at a Habitat for Humanity build. WestCMR gives staff two VTO days per year to volunteer with charitable organizations in the community (this is just another AMAZING perk of working at WestCMR). “It was amazing to help build a house that a family could now call their home,” says Perez. His favorite memory could change here soon, as he is traveling to Thailand in September to attend Medical Fair Thailand.

When asked who his role models were, Zach immediately said his parents. Both of his parents immigrated here when he was younger, while speaking limited English. They taught him the value of hard work and the power of determination. Having parents who started with nothing and have created the life they have now has taught Zach to never give up on his dreams.

Zach’s advice to anyone wanting to join the WestCMR team is to always be consistent. “There are great days, bad moments, hard weeks, yet you always have to keep building if you want to see success.” We appreciate all that Zach does for WestCMR!
