In hopes you’ll get to know them as well as we do, we have put together this brand new series of short spotlight blogs.
Here at WestCMR it’s our priority to make sure our staff leaves the office each day feeling appreciated. We want to recognize outstanding team members who light up every room they walk in and we are pleased to shine a spotlight on Sarah Hawkins this month. For all that don’t know Sarah, she is the Sales Support Specialist here at WestCMR. Sarah has been here for almost 2 years, but before worked in a medical office and has a hospital background.
What doesn’t Sarah do? She is always helping out every team here at WestCMR, from marketing materials to product photos in the warehouse. The ability to help so many people with so many different tasks is part of the reason she loves her job. Sarah loves the people she works with and how everyone will jump in to help each other. A fun fact about Sarah is that her dad is the CEO, Randy Ware. As she doesn’t broadcast this information, she was originally drawn to WestCMR after seeing her dad’s success. She saw his work-life balance combined with the health care benefits and was sold.
I asked Sarah her favorite memory at WestCMR and she said the 25th anniversary party. “I remember as a kid seeing my dad’s small desk in the corner of our house. It is amazing to witness such an accomplishment as an employee now, not just as his daughter.” says Hawkins. As much as her dad is an inspiration to Sarah, her role models also include Sandra Carvalho, the Director of Global Sales, Acquisitions, and Marketing here at WestCMR. “Sandy is the hardest working person I know” says Hawkins. Other personal influences that have inspired Sarah to be who she is today would include her grandma and mother due to being selfless and determined women.
Sarah would love to continue growing here at WestCMR and helping to streamline more processes here, “Management isn’t in my future as I am not the best with confrontation, but I love to help my team when needed”. I asked Sarah what advice she would give to people wanting to join this field and she said to be open minded and give your all to what you love!
Sarah Hawkins exemplifies the spirit and dedication that WestCMR values. Through her passions for her work and commitment to excellence, she has become an incredible asset to the team. We cannot wait to see her grow and continue shining here at WestCMR.
