WestCMR Honored as Philanthropic Corporation of the Year by AFP Tampa Bay
A few weeks ago, Mike Sutton, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Tampa Bay Gulfside, contacted us to share the exciting news that his organization had nominated Randy Ware and the WestCMR team for the Philanthropic Corporation of the Year award. We are honored to announce that we have been selected as the recipient of this prestigious award, presented by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Tampa Bay.
It was a privilege to join Habitat’s team with a joint table sponsorship at the AFP National Philanthropy Day Award Luncheon, where Randy Ware was recognized and presented the well-deserved award for WestCMR’s exceptional commitment to philanthropy and community impact.
WestCMR has been a vital partner to Habitat for Humanity Tampa Bay Gulfside for many years. Being nominated by their organization highlights the strong relationship our team has built with them and the meaningful impact we’re creating together. During the Luncheon, a brief video featured Habitat’s Chief Program Officer, Jack Shanks, sharing his insights on Randy and WestCMR’s significant contributions to the philanthropic community.
A Significant Impact
Our team members have always been actively involved with Habitat, dedicating countless hours to volunteering on home sites in our local communities. We’ve also supported their various fundraising initiatives throughout the years, both by sponsoring and attending these events.
In December, WestCMR generously donated $100,000 to Habitat’s latest development, Longlake Preserve Townhomes, in Largo. This donation also included 200 hours of volunteer work from WestCMR team members in 2024. These efforts will help provide affordable housing for 54 hardworking families in our community, with an expected move-in date in early 2025.
A Shared Vision
We believe that everyone deserves a decent place to live. By working together, we can create a world where housing is a right, not a privilege. This is why WestCMR continues to support and build partnerships with organizations that can help make this happen.
As we celebrate WestCMR’s well-deserved recognition, we encourage others to join us in making a difference. Whether you volunteer your time, donate to our cause, or simply spread the word, your support can help us build stronger communities.
Let’s continue to leave a legacy together.
