Meet The Team: Corey Thompson

At WestCMR, each team member plays a pivotal role in realizing our objectives. Every month, we take a moment to recognize individuals who go above and beyond. This March, we applaud Corey Thompson for his exceptional dedication.

Corey provides years of experience from previous roles in warehouses and shipping departments in North Carolina. His love for WestCMR stems from its culture, benefits, and remarkable people. “What I saw in the people that work here is they WANT to do a good job. They set the bar high and it makes me want to contribute to their success,” Corey reflects. He understands that his efforts at WestCMR directly impact outcomes, which fuels his daily motivation.

What is Corey’s role at WestCMR? While his current role is all-encompassing in the operations department, he has done all the roles at one point or another, so he now gives his support where it’s needed. He takes pride in ensuring smooth operations behind the scenes, making sure products are where they need to be. A typical day for Corey involves opening the warehouse, prioritizing tasks, and then starting his ongoing task of putting products where they need to be and helping his team receive boxes.

With nearly four years under his belt at WestCMR, Corey cherishes the memories he’s created, with a particular highlight being his victory against CEO Randy Ware in cornhole—an unforgettable achievement for Corey.

Looking ahead, Corey is committed to contributing to WestCMR’s growth and enhancing operational efficiency. The advice Corey would give to those looking into WestCMR and/or his current colleagues is to show up on time, work hard, and be like a sponge and absorb all the knowledge you can.
