WestCMR’s philanthropic hand has been busy so far this year, from members of our team getting clean, close haircuts, to cleaning up a local section of the Pinellas Trail, to making numerous monetary donations. So far this year, WestCMR has acknowledged and participated with over ten organizations – helping some right here in our backyard to stretching across the country.
What are you passionate about and what organization is dear to you? WestCMR has a program that allows team members to submit their own philanthropic requests to help organizations.
Most recently, the WestCMR team participated in an internal awareness event for Metropolitan Ministries, called “Dress Down for a Cause”. This was a great idea brought to us by the Employee Relations Committee that allowed our team to be able to work in very casual dress or athletic wear for the week for a small donation. The WestCMR Charitable Giving Committee matched the total contributions, which exceeded $1000 for Metropolitan Ministries.
We look forward to one of many local events – “Rays on the Runway”, which supports the Children’s Dream Fund and is coming up in August. As we get ready for the second part of the year and soon head into the giving season, WestCMR is already pumped and planning for a great finish!
