One of the best parts about working at WestCMR is the traditions we’ve built over the years & our annual Fourth of July BBQ and Cornhole Tournament is most definitely one of them!
Every summer, the team takes a break from the day-to-day to enjoy a great lunch, spend time together, and battle it out in one of the most anticipated events of the year. It may just be a cornhole tournament, but around here, people start talking about it well before the first bags are even thrown. There’s always plenty of friendly competition, of course a little trash talk, and even more laughs.
This year’s cornhole tournament didn’t disappoint.
After some close games (and yes, plenty more trash talk), The Bald Eagles—Corey and Joe—came out on top, taking home the $100 prize. And we have to give a special shout-out to Corey, who has officially earned his place in the WestCMR cornhole hall of fame with three championship wins in a row. At this point, everyone is wondering if anyone can finally take him down.
Well…they might get their chance.
Another tradition we have is the champions’ matchup against our CEO, Randy Ware. Randy spends part of the summer in Colorado, but when he returns later this season, he’ll face this year’s winners in a special game: Randyman vs The Bald Eagles.
The stakes? Double or nothing.
Whether Corey and Joe walk away with twice the winnings or Randy gets to be the champion, one thing’s for sure, it’ll be a game the whole office will be watching.
These are the kinds of traditions that make WestCMR such a fun place to be. It’s not just about the tournament or the prize money… it’s about getting everyone together, cheering each other on, and making memories that stick year after year.
Now all that’s left is the matchup everyone has been waiting for. When Randy gets back from Colorado, we get to know the official 2026 winner.
No pressure… but there are bragging rights (& some cash) on the line, and we have a feeling the office will have plenty to say about how it plays out
