At WestCMR, we deeply appreciate and recognize the invaluable contributions of each employee, considering them the heart and soul of our company. In our ongoing tradition of spotlighting outstanding team members, we’re proud to showcase DJ Byers for the month of November.
DJ’s journey prior to joining WestCMR was diverse, ranging from serving as a disabled veteran in the U.S. Air Force to working in the automotive industry, and even at an L.E.D. sign company. His versatility is mirrored in his role at WestCMR, where he dons various hats, but primarily serves as the Facilities Manager. Handling everything from construction projects to maintenance and repairs, DJ’s expertise is evident. With 8 years under his belt at WestCMR, DJ is a familiar sight, tirelessly addressing challenges and ensuring smooth operations.
With all that being said, his day-to-day is never the same. He attacks the critical fixes and then moves on to smaller projects. Upon arriving at 6:30 AM, the never-ending list from interior to exterior repairs takes up a huge part of his day. Despite the inherent stress of such variability, DJ thrives on it, attributing his love for the company’s culture, his colleagues, and the philanthropy program.
DJ loves projects that start and close large building projects that are designed to increase the efficiency of workflow and the enjoyment of the team. He is all about helping others and putting a smile on everyone’s face daily. DJ’s influences are simple: anyone with an adventurous entrepreneurial drive. DJ admires anyone who wants to create something new from the ground up, as he also has that spirit within him. DJ hopes to one day open a bakery that is super allergy-friendly and full of quality, clean ingredients.
His overall goal at WestCMR is to help grow our campus to encompass the entire street and to support our team by implementing ways to achieve peak efficiency with minimal downtime.
To those who aspire to be like DJ or work at WestCMR, he says “If you have a drive, you want to help people and are organized, then WestCMR is for sure the place for you.” We are grateful to have a team member like DJ and thank him for all his of dedication to WestCMR.
