For the third year in a row, WestCMR partnered with the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Station, who works closely with a local foster home. This organization, known as Everyday Blessings, provides shelter and care for children who have been taken from their homes due to neglect, abuse or abandonment.
The WestCMR Philanthropy Committee “adopted” 24 children that are currently under care at Everyday Blessings. Our team was provided a small “wish-list” for each child. These lists included items that they were hopeful to receive for Christmas. In effort to make this holiday one that they will never forget, members from our team picked out all of the items from each wish list, specific to each child. We then boxed them up and delivered them to the Fire Station to be distributed to this group of children.
To WestCMR, the holiday season is a time of giving and sharing with those around us; especially those that may not be as fortunate as others and could use a helping hand. Though we strive to fulfill one of our main core values, philanthropy, throughout the entire year by giving back, this time of year is always a little extra special for us.
