Sustain-A-Bowl: Food For The Future

Another month, another food truck! We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Sustain-A-Bowl to WestCMR. This particular food truck is extremely special to us as they give back to our community and our planet. In the United States, people waste 92 billion pounds of food annually, equal to 145 billion meals, according to Feeding America. Companies such as Sustain-A-Bowl are fighting against this rising number.

When Sustain-A-Bowl caters your event, you aren’t only supporting their local business, but you are also contributing to the fight against hunger and food waste in our community. 100% of their revenue directly supports 360 Eats’ nonprofit program dedicated to ending food insecurity. For every bowl purchased, they give one bowl back to someone in need, while curbing food waste.

Another reason to support Sustain-A-Bowl is that it’s run by a dynamic mother-and-son duo! Cameron and his mother, Chef Ellen, co-founded the food truck, ensuring you enjoy both your meal and your experience. A team favorite was the buffalo cauliflower small bowl, which is the perfect appetizer before your main entrée choices, such as the Tampa Cuban Bowl or the Fajita Bowl.

Sustain-A-Bowl utilizes fresh produce and other ingredients that would otherwise go to waste from local farms and distributors, creating the healthy and delicious bowls you love.

In February, they shared on their social platforms: “360 Eats is celebrating the 24,944 pounds of food that we’ve sent out for composting to help eliminate food waste in our community.” This achievement is truly outstanding, and we are proud to be part of their journey. Join us in the movement to end world hunger and reduce food waste, one tasty bowl at a time.
