At WestCMR, each member plays a key role in achieving our goals. Monthly, we take the time to highlight individuals who stand out for their exceptional contributions. For the month of February, it’s an honor to highlight Jeff Hamlett, a dedicated team member at WestCMR.
Should you ever need assistance, Jeff is the colleague who will promptly step in to help. His role at WestCMR is exactly that, to support the staff in any IT needs. As if that isn’t a huge task in itself, Jeff also handles the reporting and website maintenance. It’s safe to say that his days are consistently dynamic and filled with challenges.
While Jeff has been with WestCMR for 7 years, before this he spent the first 10 years of his career as a programmer. He has worked in IT since he graduated college, where he achieved a degree in computer science. Jeff was drawn to WestCMR from the start, impressed by the professionalism exhibited during his interview and enticed by the company’s benefits. Moreover, he found inspiration in WestCMR’s commitment to philanthropy, seeing it as a company he could be proud to be associated with in the community.
Among the cherished memories at WestCMR, the 25th anniversary stands out as a favorite among other employees, including Jeff. This 25th celebration was not only fun but it honored how much work was put in to get where the company is today. Jeff says he was impressed to see how the company has grown in the 25 years that Randy started WestCMR. Moments like this serve as powerful motivators, demonstrating the importance of perseverance and the attainability of dreams despite challenges. For Jeff, what truly enhances his experience at WestCMR is the people he works with day to day. “I enjoy the relationships I have formed during my time here. I also enjoy many perks, such as food trucks and event tickets” says Hamlett. It’s safe to say that WestCMR takes care of its employees.
When asked about his sources of drive and success, Jeff credits his father for instilling in him a strong work ethic. While talking about his biggest influences, Jeff says “My father’s work ethic and strength in difficult situations is something that I often draw from in my own life”.
As Jeff continues to grow his career at WestCMR, he hopes to continue supporting the team to the best of his abilities and to be an important part in the future of the company. To those aspiring to follow in Jeff’s footsteps and join the team, he offers encouraging words: “WestCMR is a company you can be proud to be a part of and you can build your future around.
